Mumbai, July 10 : Aspiring actor Sooraj Pancholi, who is out on bail after a 20-day ordeal in prison for allegedly abetting actress Jiah Khan's suicide, is now trying to get back to his routine life. But he has to report to the police station every alternate day.

Sooraj, who was arrested June 10, was granted bail by the Bombay High Court July 1.

Recently, he was in Hyderabad and he had to rush to Mumbai to be in time for his attendance at the police station.

Lucknow, July 10 : Samajwadi Party (SP) chief Mulayam Singh Yadav Wednesday said Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi was free to contest the 2014 Lok Sabha elections from anywhere in Uttar Pradesh.

Replying to questions on speculation that Modi would contest from Lucknow or Varanasi, Yadav said: "He is free to contest from anywhere in the state though he is unwelcome as the people of Uttar Pradesh are peace-loving and would not like to be divided on communal lines."

New Delhi, July 10 : The India Bridal Fashion Week (IBFW), an exposition of Indian couture and bridal lines, will woo international patrons with its first ever international edition in 2014. It will be held in London, organiser Vijay Singh announced here Wednesday.

“We're going to London next year. I believe that any specific industry requires a new market. If you look at the Indian fashion industry, every designer is a name in outside countries as well. So why not (go international),” Singh, managing director, Fashion One International, said here.

Kolkata, July 10 :  Tata Steel Wednesday said the company registered 26.49 percent increase in sales to 2.005 million tonnes in the quarter ended June 30, 2013, from 1.585 million tonnes during the corresponding period a year ago.

The Tata Group's flagship company produced 2.145 MT of saleable steel during the first quarter of this fiscal, up by 23.27 percent compared to the like period of previous fiscal.

During the period under review, the firm's hot metal production stood at 2.464 MT, while crude steel production stood at 2.223 MT, Tata Steel said in a filing to BSE.

Speaking at the convocation of Malaviya National Institute of Technology here, the president asked students to have a clear perspective about what education means to them, what success implies and whether a good career with an attractive salary is the be all and end all in life.
