New Delhi, July 1 : Action hero Vidyut Jammwal was slated to perform live stunts on the International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) awards stage in Macau Saturday, but he has pulled out at the last minute due to an urgent family situation.

"Vidyut has had to travel urgently out of the country to attend to a certain urgent family situation. Due to this, he will unfortunately not be seen performing his action and stunt based act at IIFA awards 2013 in Macau this year," his spokesperson said in an official statement.

Mumbai, July 1 : Actor Ranveer Singh thanks director Vikramaditya Motwane for making him and his fellow actor Sonakshi Sinha comfortable while canning an intimate scene on them in "Lootera".

Giving details about the scene, the "Band Baaja Baaraat" actor said: "Sonakshi is so cool that I never felt awkward. We all are professional actors and this is our work.

"Vikramaditya made a closed set for our comfort where there was only cameraman, Vikram, me and Sonakshi. He gave us our own space and was very supportive."

Finland-based handset maker Nokia on Monday announced that it would purchase German engineering giant Siemens AG's 50 per cent stake in their joint venture Nokia Siemens Networks (NSN) for $2.2 billion (1.7bn euros).

Nokia, which has lost most of its global market share to rivals like Apple and Samsung, will reportedly take a loan from J. P. Morgan Chase & Co. to help finance the deal.

The handset maker said it expected to finish the transaction before the end of third quarter of this year, subject to regulatory approval.
