Nokia 5800 XpressMusic Mobile Phone To Hit Indian Market By Jan 2009Finnish giant Nokia has unveiled its latest 5800 XpressMusic music phone, which will hit India markets by December-end or early next year.

Moreover, the company also made announcement about its tie-up with big Indian record labels such as Tseries, Big Music, Yashraj and many others to offer local favourites together with Universal Music Group, Sony BMG, EMI and Warner.

Nokia has also decided to tie-up with Indian Music Industry (IMI), which is a group of 150 music companies to provide its clients  favourite music across genres and languages.

The music and entertainment device comes with touch interface with tactile feedback, alphanumeric keypad, virtual QWERTY keyboard and media bar to access music, videos and photos directly.

Anssi Vanjoki, Executive Vice-President, Nokia, said, “Mobile music will continue to be a key priority area for Nokia in 2009 and our strategy is aimed at developing the market for mobile music by following a partnership driven model that enriches consumer experience with innovative devices, accessories and local content.”

Powered by S60 5th Edition user interface, the added features of the phone include 3.2 megapixel autofocus camera with Carl Zeiss optics and dual-LED flash, front camera for video calls, built-in A-GPS and Nokia Maps, nHD widescreen quality video playback, storage for up to 12, 000 songs with optional 16GB microSD card, EGPRS, WLAN, MicroUSB, 3.5 mm AV connector, Bluetooth 2.0 with A2DP stereo audio, Hi-Speed USB 2.0.

The newly launched Nokia handset is compliant with Nokia Music Store, Nokia OviSuite, Nokia Music PC client, Nokia PC Suite and Windows Media Player 11 for music synchronization.

The new 5800 XpressMusic comes with pen stylus, stylus plectrum in wrist strap, Nokia Music headset, 8 GB microSD card, carrying case, portable stand and video-out cable.

In addition, it also hass the innovative ‘Contacts Bar’, which let users to highlight four favorite contacts on their home-screen and get details of them.

The 5800 XpressMusic will be available at a price an estimated price of Rs 21,839.
