Panasonic Announces Its HDC-SD100 and HDC-HS100 AVCHD Camcorders

Electronic giant Panasonic has made announcement about the launching ofPanasonic SD100 Camcorder its two latest HD camcorders, named HDC-SD100 and HDC-HS100, which will hit US market by September 2008.

The newly launched snazzy HD camcorders are world’s first AVCHD camcorders with a 3MOS system.

Based on company’s 3CCD technology, the camcorders offers up brilliant color reproduction.

The MOS sensors of both the camcorders not only spread out light-receiving areas, but also perk up image quality in low light conditions.

In this way, the users can click pictures in shadowed as well as brightly lit areas without ay difficulty.

Zoe Susice, Group Manager, Imaging, Panasonic Consumer Electronics Company, said, “The camcorder market is moving swiftly to High Definition and superior image quality is now a must-have feature. Moreover, many consumers are also demanding higher-level features, and the ability to be more creative.”

“For these users, we introduce two new full-HD 3MOS models — the HDC-SD100 and HDC-HS100 — with manual functions that give users the power to create dramatic, artistic images. At the same time, we also have our Intelligent Auto mode, which activates several technologies automatically, so the user doesn’t need to make any adjustments, and shooting video is an easy and enjoyable experience,” Zoe added.

The HDC-SD100 camcorder can easily record to SD memory card, whereas the hybrid HDC-HS100 camcorder is capable of recording to both SD memory card and to its internal 60 GB hard drive.

To entice more and more people, the newly introduced camcorders comes packed with astonishing features that comprise full 1920 x 1080 recording, Dicomar lens that are Lecia-made, 12X optical zoom and HD Advanced Pure Color Engine that not only doubles the dynamic range but also drops noise.

Moreover, both the camcorders provide 7 hours and 40 minutes of video recording on an 8GB SDHC card.

The HDC-HS100 camcorder will be priced at $1,100, whilst the HDC-SD100 is expected to carry the price tag of $1,300.
