Family row over Heath Ledger’s willMelbourne, Dec 18 : After all the fuss that was made over who will accept late Aussie actor Heath Ledger''s Golden Globe award should he win, his father Kim has stated he will not be the one doing it.

Kim called Confidential on December 17 to notify that the award will be accepted by one of Ledger's `The Dark Knight' co-stars if he wins after being nominated posthumously for his role as the Joker, reports the Daily Telegraph.

Ledger's role as a joker in `The Dark Knight' is expected to sweep off all the major awards this year.

The Batman flick was apparently the last movie he completed before his drug overdose death in January (08).

And one of the contenders to accept the awards on Ledger's behalf, along with his father Kim, was believed to be Williams, who's also the mother of the actor's daughter Matilida.

However, the Brokeback Mountain actress says she won''t be involved.

Heath LedgerNew York, Dec 15 : With Aussie actor Heath Ledger having been posthumously nominated for a Golden Globe, the question now arises who will accept the award should he win it.

The decision has not been made as yet, but Ledger's father would like to be the one who accepts it.

"Kim desperately wants to do it," the New York Daily News quoted a source as saying.

"But the studio and the producers would rather have Michelle receive it on behalf of Matilda," the source added.

Perth’s new arts centre snubs Heath Ledger’s name

Melbourne, Dec 12 : The new arts centre in Perth, which had been promised to be named after late Aussie actor Heath Ledger, will no longer be named after him.

According to Culture and Arts Minister John Day, the centre in Northbridge will now be called the State Theatre Centre of Western Australia, with a theatre within it named after Ledger, reports PerthNow.

Former premier Alan Carpenter had announced Ledger's name at the theatre construction site less than six months ago, with the late actor's father, Kim Ledger, standing by his side.

London, December 7 : Heath Ledger has been honoured posthumously with the ‘best actor’ award for his phenomenal performance as the villainous Joker in ‘The Dark Knight’ in his native Australia.

The 28-year-old, who had died from an accidental overdose of prescription drugs in January 2008, had been given a standing ovation after being granted the Australian Film Institute''s international award.

The AFI paid tribute to the late ‘Brokeback Mountain’ actor in Melbourne dubbing him as “the untamed spirit” as his sister Kate, accompanied by her parents, accepted the award on his behalf.

"It has been without a doubt the most difficult year, losing such a loved family member," BBC quoted her as saying.

Family row over Heath Ledger’s willNew York, Dec 5 : The SoHo apartment, where Heath Ledger was found dead after an accidental overdose of prescription drugs, has failed to attract tenants - because of its ‘spooky’ provenance and a cooling high-end rental market.

The rental listing of the apartment has been pulled without a taker willing to cough up 26,000 dollar per month.

The three-bedroom loft at 419 Broome St. was officially re-listed in late July after the ‘Dark Knight’ star died there last January, reports the New York Post.
