Luca Toni back in Munich training - set to play in Wolfsburg Munich  - Luca Toni is set to return into Bayern Munich's lineup for Saturday's big Bundesliga match at VfL Wolfsburg from a five-week injury layoff.

The Italy striker resumed training on Monday after being sidelined with Achilles tendon problems which made him miss Bundesliga and Champions League games for Munich as well as two World Cup qualifiers for his home country.

"I feel good," Toni told Munich's website. "I am happy to be back in training with the team."

Toni expected back to boost BayernMunich  - Bayern Munich expect Italy striker Luca Toni to resume team training on Monday in a boost for the German champions ahead of a key Bundesliga clash against VfL Wolfsburg and a Champions League trip to Barcelona.

Midfielder Hamit Altintop is also due back following injury while defender Massimo Oddo has already resumed training with the team.

Toni has been sidelined for four weeks with an Achilles tendon injury but has been undergoing fitness training daily with rehabilitation coach Thomas Wilhelmi in Bologna.

Toni remains sidelined, Ribery backMunich  - Luca Toni remains sidelined at his German club Bayern Munich and also had to cancel two World Cup qualifiers for Italy due to Achilles tendon problems, coach Juergen Klinsmann said on Thursday.

Klinsmann told the Bayern website that Toni is not fully fit again and won't play in the weekend Bundesliga match against bottom club SC Karlsruhe.

The Italy forward, who has been sidelined for three weeks, also cancelled his appearance in the World Cup qualifiers in Montenegro on March 28 and against Ireland on April 1.
