Rad Power’s RadMini e-bicycle comes packed with power, comfort & utility

North American e-bike brand Rad Power’s RadMini electric bicycle comes packed with power, comfort, and utility, thanks to its unique features that most e-bike riders would ever need. Just like the larger fat tire e-bike RadRover, the RadMini comes equipped with fat tires that enables it to run smoothly on grass, dirt or asphalt. Its front suspension and the 7-speed Shimano drivetrain further add to comfort.

It draws power from a 750W geared rear hub motor backed by a 48V 14Ah (672 Wh) battery that is capable of delivering a an impressive range of up to 72 km (roughly 45 miles) on a full charge. Thus, it offers plenty of power as well as range for most riders on diverse terrains. The wide tires are not just great on the trails but also for the urban roads, where potholes and curbs often prove to be obstacles for riders. With the fat tires, even speed bumps become more manageable.

Pedal assist can be used to support the battery pack run for a longer time. However, riders riding the e-bike harder should not expect the battery pack to run more than 48 km (roughly 30 miles).

The e-bike’s other notable features include its maximum load capacity of 125 kg (275 lb), 6061 aluminum frame, and 80 mm travel spring suspension fork with preload adjustment and lockout. Its Tektro mechanical disc braking system that comes with 180 mm rotors is also quite impressive.

It is obviously the RadMini’s sheer versatility that makes it outshine other e-bikes available in the market. It can not only ride on different type of terrains but can also fold, which allows the user to take it just about anywhere. Obviously, it can’t be folded down to the size of a lunch box, but even with the typical folding bars and mid-frame hinge, it undoubtedly becomes compact enough to fit in a car trunk or backseat. While its tires are quite fat, smaller 20” wheels make it easy to handle and carry it.

Available at an MSRP of $1,499, the RadMini is affordable too. Moreover, the owner need not worry about its maintenance as Rad Power Bikes offers their own rolling bike shop service known as Rad Mobile. A team of mechanics just roll up to the e-bike owner’s house in a van decked out like a bike shop, prepared to help with whatever the e-bike needs.
