Washington, Dec. 1 : Palin’s flash emergence on the national stage has left her as well positioned as any Republican to make a serious run for the GOP nomination in
2012, reports Politico.

Yyet waning support from the political center may threaten her presidential ambitions, according to a Politico analysis of public polling.

A Gallup poll of Republican voters released last Friday found Palin atop a field of ten Republicans, including 2008 primary candidates Mitt Romney and Mike Huckabee, in a hypothetical 2012 match up.

Washington, Dec. 1 : America is convinced that the best way to defeat Islamic terrorism is to advance Indian-Pakistani relations and to persuade Islamabad to fight the common enemy on its doorstep.

To this end, Pakistani troops are spearheading a counter-insurgency campaign in Pakistan’s tribal territories while US drones are targeting al-Qaeda leaders.

The counter-attack from the militants has two aims: first, undermine rapprochement between India and Pakistan by provoking a new conflict; secondly, divert Pakistani forces away from their tribal territories to redirect them to the common enemy, India.

Washington, Dec 1 : Irish singer Bob Geldof has finally met his son-in-law Max Drummey, four months after his daughter Peaches married him in Las Vegas.

Geldof is said to have been furious with Peaches, 19, for marrying a man he''d never met, but now that she has introduced her dad to her husband, at the Boomtown Rats member’s 54th birthday, everything has been resolved.

“Max and I were flying back from London on my dad''s birthday. He was having dinner in New York with Bono and some other friends, so me and Max joined them. They got on well,” Contactmusic quoted Peaches as saying.

Geldof was very impressed with Drummey and even invited the budding rocker to join his family for Christmas in London.

Washington, Dec 1: Rumours that English supermodel Naomi Campbell will be marrying her Russian billionaire lover Vladimir Doronin have been dismissed by her representative.

Campbell, 38, sparked rumours of an engagement on November 25, after she was seen attending a lavish magazine party in Moscow wearing a large emerald sparkler on her ring finger.

Claims of the model planning a small, low-key wedding, with just close friends and family surfaced especially after she asked them to keep themselves free for a special Christmas vacation.
