Shruti, 23, the eldest daughter of Kamal Haasan is all set to enter Bollywood as an actor with Soham Shah's "Luck". She will share screen with Imran Khan. However her first Bollywood playback was in "Chachi 420" (1998). Shruti is multitalented daughter of a great actor.Shruti has a professional degree in music from the Musicians Institute, California. She has also learnt "North Indian classical music". Recently she gave her voice to a song in Gautham Menon's "Vaaranam Aayiram".

She is also lead vocalist in the rock band Extramentals. She has also done modeling. She has featured in magazines like "Frappe!" and "Verve".

She will make her debut as a music composer in "Thalaivan Irukkiraan", remake of Bollywood thriller "A Wednesday" in Tamil and Telugu respectively.

Kamal Hassan said: "She's an extraordinary girl and I am not talking as her father. I observed her myself at an audition and I was really impressed. I hope there are many more who think like that. She's found her own niche and is going in the right direction."
