Silverton Casino teams up with Circa Sports to deliver ultimate sports betting experience

Circa Sports, one of the most prominent sportsbook operators in the United States, is expanding its presence by taking over the race and sportsbook operations at the Silverton Casino Lodge in suburban Las Vegas starting from January 1, 2024. Derek Stevens, the Co-founder and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Circa, unveiled that the company had been working on the exciting project in collaboration with Silverton for quite a while. He also shared that Circa is all set to debut a temporary sportsbook at Silverton Casino on 1st of January next year. Thus, it is perfectly timed for the extensive lineup of college football bowl games and in anticipation of the Super Bowl.

The Las Vegas-based company’s envisioned permanent sportsbook, which is currently undergoing a fabulous transformation, is expected to be ready well in advance of the NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament, which is also called "March Madness.” This annual sporting extravaganza is known for garnering some of the highest betting/wagering activity in the country.

Circa co-founder and CEO Derek Stevens said, “It’s a project we’ve worked on with the Silverton for quite a while. This will be another satellite sportsbook within the state. The sportsbook would include a substantial renovation of the property and be an investment on our part. We plan on hiring all of the individuals and they’ll be Circa Sports employees.”

The top executive revealed the details of the project at a meeting with the recently-held Nevada Gaming Control Board (NGCB). Currently, the race and sportsbook at Silverton, which is considered a Las Vegas locals’ casino, is being operated by Caesars Entertainment’s William Hill.

The project involves a considerable reconstruction of the Silverton Casin transforming the property into an up-to-date satellite sportsbook operated by Circa Sports. CEO Stevens emphasized the company's cautious expansion strategy that primarily focuses on Nevada and other states that have favorable regulatory environments.

Las Vegas-based Circa Sports is well known for its popular NFL contests, viz. Circa Million and Circa Survivor, which have garnered a strong reputation among waging enthusiasts. In spite of having fewer retail sportsbooks than competitors like MGM Resorts International and Caesars/William Hill, Circa Sports stands as the 3rd largest sportsbook in Nevada by market share as of late July. The company’s conservative approach to expansion in contrast with the rapid moves made by its competitors emphasizes its focus on quality and strategic growth.
