Ace Bollywood filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma is ready with his next flick ‘Phoonk’, which is a horror movie that revolves around the Black Magic.

Starring Kannada superstar Sudeep and a famous Marathi stage actress Amruths, Phoonk is all set to release on August 22.

Sudeep considered this a great chance to exhibit his skills in Bollywood industry.

In a recent press conference, Sudeep disclosed that he always wished to work with brilliant and multi-talented director like RGV.

He also that his keenness made him sign a different type of movie, which deals with black magic and has the  potentiality to fright viewers.

Sudeep worked 40 days for ‘Phoonk’ and felt that Ramu captured several facets of his talents.

‘Phoonk’ will be more chilling than ‘Bhooth’, he also added.

Ram Gopal Varma, who was also present at the press meeting, admired Sudeep for his superb performance. He also said that he had seen two of Sudeep’s films and believed that he would be the right choice for the lead role.

“I chose Sudeep because he is a very good performer. I was impressed with many of his films. I have seen two of his films My Autograph and Ranga S.S.L.C. When I was writing the script, I though he would be perfectly suited for the lead character in the film. He worked very hard and has managed to get his lines correct. And I am sure that he has done his home work properly” said Ram Gopal Verma.

RGV also said that Phoonk is a movie that will scare the people witless. Its believability factor, the technique the movie has been shot and the performance of artists will certainly scare audiences.
