Hamburg  - The system preferences of Mac OS X are generally found in the same-named application. But anyone who wants faster access to certain settings can achieved that by moving the icon for those settings to the system's dock or toolbar.

To do so, find the appropriate icon under System/Library/PreferencePanes and pull the icon to the dock or the toolbar. Then, simply click on the icon to access the appropriate setting. (dpa)
