The Legend Of ‘King Khan’ Lives On!

The Legend Of ‘King Khan’ Lives On!It was love at first sight for both Bangalorian beauties Deepika Padukone and Anushka Sharma when they had watched Shahrukh Khan’s blockbuster Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge (DDLJ) in 1995.

Deepika as well as Anushka, who have always been passionate SRK admirer, were just school-goers when DDLJ released.

Both the model-turned-actresses have grown up watching almost all his films.

At that time, they didn’t think, even in their wildest dreams, that they would star opposite the megastar in their debut films.

Deepika’s and Anushka’s entry into film industry came as a pleasant surprise and pushed their Bollywood careers on a high as their maiden ventures - ‘Om Shanti Om’ (2007) and ‘Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi’ (2008) respectively – set the box office on fire, courtesy their co-star King Khan.

In an earlier interview, 22-year-old Deepika told, “Initially, I was very nervous about working with him. But Shah Rukh made it very comfortable for me. We did readings together; we met socially so that we were comfortable when we faced the camera. He's someone I grew up watching.”

On the other hand, 19-year old Anushka said, “I never had the intention to be an actor. It happened out of luck and I consider myself very fortunate to be part of such a big banner (Yash Raj Films) in my debut film and to be working with a star like Shahrukh.”

Her favorite movies also include Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge and Chak De! India.
