Washington, Feb 11 : A new study has recently revealed that taking a short nap for 30 minutes can help people relieve stress and bolster their immune system.

Brice Faraut, PhD, said that the short nap can reverse the hormonal impact of a night of poor sleep.

Napping may offer a way to counter the damaging effects of sleep restriction by helping the immune and neuroendocrine systems to recover and the findings support the development of practical strategies for addressing chronically sleep-deprived populations, such as night and shift workers, he further added.

Swine Flu: Toll crosses 100 in Rajasthan, 40 in Maharashtra

New Delhi, Feb. 11 - The swine flu toll in Maharashtra and Rajasthan has reached 100 and 40 respectively.

According to reports, six deaths have been recorded in Mumbai due to the H1N1 virus outbreak while five more casualties were reported in Rajasthan on Tuesday.

A total of 205 swine flu cases have been recorded in Maharashtra, according to the state authorities, while 49 fresh cases were reported in Delhi with the total number of cases due to the disease going up to 488 this year.

Reports add that all civic hospitals in Mumbai have been asked to keep at least two ventilators on standby for H1N1 patients and an adequate stock of Tamiflu has been procured.

The BMC has also reportedly started a helpline over the outbreak.
