Bangalore, Feb 22 - Three men were arrested with 54 kg gold, valued at Rs. 16 crore, at the Kempegowda international airport here late Saturday, police said.

"We trapped the accused and seized the gold on a tipoff from Kolkata police that they were on way to Coimbatore (Tamil Nadu) via Bangalore by a SpiceJet flight," Deputy Commissioner of Police (northeast) T. R. Suresh told IANS.

The accused are Balasubramanya, Ravi Varma and Eshwar Murthy.

Bangalore, Feb 22 : Union Petroleum and Natural Gas Minister M. Veerappa Moily on Saturday said Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Chief Arvind Kejriwal lacks basic fundamental knowledge of the law, and added that the hike in the prices of gas was not his personal decision.

"The allegation against me is against the cabinet; it was the decision of the cabinet, not a personal decision or my own decision. The allegations against me are baseless," Moily told media here.

Washington, Feb 22 : An overheating battery aboard a Boeing 787 Dreamliner that reportedly caused the plane to be grounded recorded temperatures that could easily melt rock.

The faulty power unit generated poured out white smoke due to heat generation that reached a sweltering 660 degrees centigrade, enough to melt minerals.

According to the report, one of the eight lithium-ion cells in the plane's battery system swelled and electrolytic solution was sprayed out, Sky News reported.

Shiv Nadar-led HCL Corp has refuted media reports that the company has plans to exit from its information technology subsidiary HCL Technologies Ltd.

Citing unnamed sources, some media channels recently reported that HCL Founder Shiv Nadar was mulling a plan to sell his stake in HCL Technology for $10 billion.

But the company refuted the reports, saying there was no plan to sell its controlling stake in the information technology service provider.
