The near total destruction of Iraq's historic past – the very cradle of human civilisation – has emerged as one of the most shameful symbols of the U.S.-led operation, say archaeologists.

Jamelia hopes to rekindle romance with ex Darren Byfield

London, Sept 17 (ANI): Singer Jamelia has revealed that she hopes to rekindle her romance with her footballer ex Darren Byfield.

The 26-year-old star, who split from the footballer last month after romancing for three years, said that she is hoping to get back together with Byfield.

Early death risk not enough to make Brits exercise: Survey

London, Sept 17: A survey has revealed that even the threat of an early death due to lack of physical activity is not enough to make Brit adults exercise.

The survey conducted by YouGov revealed that only 38 percent of people questioned were willing to exercise more if their life is depended on it.

Experts also said that people with a healthy weight should also workout in order to avoid health problems later in life.

Drug that kills cancer cells developed

London, Sept 17: A drug, called STA-4783, has been developed to kill cancer cells. Unlike current treatments, the drug has very few side-effects, and those who have started taking the drug have already doubled their life expectancy, with researchers believing that survival rates could be even higher.

“This is the most exciting cancer treatment I’ve seen in 10 years,” Daily Express quoted cancer specialist Dr Tony Williams of Synta Pharmaceuticals, who is developing the drug, as saying.

Kelly Brook to flaunt ‘all her best bits’ on ‘Strictly Come Dancing’

London, Sept 17: Model Kelly Brook is gearing up to appear almost nude on BBC One hit show ‘Strictly Come Dancing’, for she will wear a skimpy flesh-coloured leotard for one of the episodes of the series.

A source of the show, which starts next month, said that the saucy costume was designed exclusively to show the busty model’s curves.

“Kelly’s got an amazing figure — the dress designer was very keen to show it off, Sun quoted the source, as saying.

“She will be flaunting all her best bits on camera,” source added.

The ‘Brave One’ tops weekend box office

Washington, Sept 17: Jodie Foster starrer ‘The Brave One’ topped the weekend box office with an estimated earning of 14 million dollars.

The film was followed by Russell Crowe and Christian Bale starrer ‘3:10 to Yuma’ (9.2 million dollars), reports E! Online.

Mr. Woodcock (9.1 million dollars) and Dragon Wars (5.4 million dollars) were ranked third and fourth respectively, according to estimates compiled by Exhibitor Relations.

‘Superbad’ completed the top five at the fifth spot with 5.2 million dollars.
