Widely-popular fast-food chain McDonald on Wednesday announced its decision to launch its international coffee format McCafe in India.

McDonald's Indian arm, WestLife Development Ltd. (WDL), will first launch McCafe in western and southern parts of India, followed by an expansion of the new coffee format in the remaining parts of the country by Connaught Plaza Restaurants Ltd.

Amit Jatia, vice-chairman of WDL, said it was the right time to launch the new coffee format as the acceptance for the beverage is growing.

Sistema Shyam Teleservices Ltd (SSTL) on Wednesday confirmed that it had gained its third carrier licence in the 800MHz spectrum band.

SSTL Chief Executive Dmitry Shukov said that receiving the third carrier licence post the spectrum auctions in March this year put the company's craving for the same to an end, describing the development as a "major milestone."

Shukov added that the development would allow the company to provide its customers with next generation telecom services.

Singapore, Oct 10 : Economic growth of Singapore in the third quarter is expected to be slower, according to economists.

The gross domestic product in the third quarter is expected to expand by 3.8 percent year-on-year. This is the same as in the second quarter, reports Xinhua.

Some of the economists, however, expect a pull-back after comparing data quarter-on-quarter basis.

Some say the numbers in the second and third quarters indicate the economy is more stable now.

"Having your own brand requires a lot of guts. I would love to do it someday... launch my own accessories or clothes brand," she Alia IANS in a telephonic interview from Mumbai.

She said that her own brand value has to be that accessible for her fashion label to work. "I will work on it every time I get an opportunity," she added.

Washington, Oct 10 : The global financial system faces major transitions accompanied by substantial risks, the International Monetary Fund (IMF) said Thursday.

"The first one is the transition in the US from a prolonged period of monetary accommodation towards a normalization of monetary conditions," Jose Vinals, head of the IMF's Monetary and Capital Markets Department, said unveiling the Global Financial Stability Report.
