Mumbai, June 14 : A benchmark index of Indian equities markets was trading 1.66 percent or 313.13 points up in late afternoon trade Friday.

Good buying was seen in sectors like consumer durables, auto, metal, oil and gas, capital goods and banking index (bankex). None of the sectors were trading in red.

The 30-scrip sensitive index (Sensex) of the S&P Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), which opened at 18,959.83 points, was trading at 19,140.29 points in the afternoon session, up 313.13 points or 1.66 percent from its previous day's close at 18,827.16 points.

Islamabad, June 14 : Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has prohibited federal ministers, parliamentarians, and other officials from undertaking unnecessary foreign tours.

Sharif has directed concerned departments to ensure the foreign tours are reduced by 30 percent, Geo News reported citing sources.

The prime minister's secretariat has prepared a document on this which includes a recommendation to decrease the cost of foreign tours by 40 percent.

Also, directives have been issued to seek permission from the concerned authority prior to undertaking any tour.

Mumbai, June 14 : Superstar Aamir Khan, whose forthcoming film "Dhoom 3" will be released in the IMAX format this year, is happy that the technology has been launched in the country. He says audiences will have an amazing experience watching the films on it.

Written and directed by Vijay Krishna Acharya, "Dhoom 3" is said to be the first Bollywood movie to be released in the IMAX format.

"It's great to see IMAX coming to India. It is really amazing, you are transported into a different world and that's what you want as an audience," Aamir said here Thursday at the launch of PVR IMAX theatre here.

Mumbai, June 14 :  Ameesha Patel turns into a baddie for her forthcoming film "Shortcut Romeo" and asserts it was challenging for her to play an anti-hero role as it has drained her emotionally and physically.

"Anti-hero role is always challenging. Like Shah Rukh Khan's role in 'Baazigar' and 'Darr'. Whenever you break a norm to do something, it is always challenging," Ameesha said here Thursday in an interview.

"To not do a typical heroine, to look sophisticated rich woman and beautiful despite being in a negative role is a tough job because you might cross the line and look like a vamp.

Los Angeles, June 14 : Actress Julianne Moore believes in ageing gracefully and doesn't like products that "freeze your face in time" because as an artist she needs to "show expressions".

"Everyone should do what they feel is best for them. Personally, I've not had anything done," contactmusic. com quoted Moore as saying.

Mumbai, June 14 : Composer A. R. Rahman has cast a magic spell yet again with "Raanjhanaa" songs and the film's lead actress Sonam Kapoor says the music maestro has infused spirituality into the film's music with the track "Tum tak".

"'Tum tak' is like a spiritual bhajan. The spirituality that comes through is something that only Rahman sir is capable of doing in this day and age," the 28-year-old said here during the making of the song.

It seems "Raanjhanaa" team can't stop raving about the composer's work in the movie.
