Munich - United States midfielder Landon Donovan started a 10-day training camp at Bayern Munich on Tuesday and doesn't rule out a move to the German football champions.
Donovan, 26, is training in Munich in keep fit in the off-season after his club Los Angeles Galaxy failed to make the Major League Soccer playoffs. The next season starts in March.
"That's one of the best teams in the world ... If January rolls around and there's interest, and the league is willing to discuss it, I would be excited to talk about it," said Donovan recently on his home page.
Munich are coached by Juergen Klinsmann, a long-time resident in California and an advisor for the Galaxy.
Klinsmann, on Munich's website on Tuesday, had nothing but praise for the 105-times capped Donovan, who a few years ago played a few Bundesliga matches for Bayer Leverkusen.
"He is a nice guy, a very good footballer and a personality in US football," said Klinsmann. "Landon will train with us for 10 days to keep his fitness level." (dpa)
