SpaceX records fall to Earth using a GoPro

SpaceX has shared many videos of its rockets that they’ve launched. The company has now come up with footage of one of its Falcon 9 rockets from a different view.

A GoPro camera tying the device to the Falcon 9 rocket's metal fairing was used to record video, when that part of the rocket entered Earth again. Its rockets have been designed to be used again, so the rocket returned to Earth.

SpaceX wrote on Youtube, where the video was uploaded, "A GoPro inside a fairing from a recent Falcon 9 flight captured some spectacular views as it fell back to Earth. Footage is played in real time".

Scientists make aircraft wings that can fix themselves

Scientists have produced aircraft wings that are capable of fixing themselves after being damaged. It indicates that self-healing technology could shortly become an everyday thing as more usage of the technique will be seen.

According to reports, the research will be presented at a Royal Society meeting in London this week. It is said to be an important invention in a rising field, which could soon lead to production of self-healing nail polish and a solution for cracked mobile phone screens.

The technology has been developed by a team at the University of Bristol; they have been working on it since the past three years. Professor Duncan Wass, who led the study, told The Independent on Sunday that he expected such products to be available for consumers in the 'very near future'.

Huge shark fossil found in Duck Creek Formation of Texas

Paleontologists have discovered some fossils just outside Fort Worth. The initial reports suggest that these fossils belong to a huge shark that lived in the shallow seas, which covered Texas a hundred millennia ago.

In 2009, a group of college students was looking for fossils during a paleontology trip to the Duck Creek Formation. Joseph Frederickson and his wife are graduate students at the University of Oklahoma. Joseph Frederickson’s wife, Janessa Doucette-Frederickson, observed a fossil while walking along a section of the formation with exposed limestone.

Angela Merkel considers G7 Meeting an Important Milestone on Climate Change Issue

On Sunday, Germany, the European Union and the US have encouraged their fellow G7 members to form such climate change polices that set a global example.

On Monday, the G7 leaders will again discuss the issue. On the other hand, Chancellor Angela Merkel has been facing resistance from Canada as the latter does not want that the group should push the agenda on its own.

Also, Japan does not want to end its role from use and support of coal both at home and abroad. In Saturday's video, Merkel said that December's Paris climate change conference would be able to be successful only when the G7 members will be committed to curb the rise in global temperatures to two degrees Celsius.

Rick Santorum thinks Pope should focus on ‘Theology and Morality’ than Climate Change

It seems former US senator Rick Santorum is not much impressed with the comments of Pope on climate change. May be that is why he said on Sunday that 'there are more pressing problem' than climate change for the pope to address.

In fact, the Republican presidential hopeful has even told that it would be better if the Pope leaves this topic of science for scientists and focuses on 'theology and morality'. Santorum added, "The church has gotten it wrong a few times on science, and I think that we probably are better off leaving science to the scientists".
