The intergovernmental organization European Space Agency (ESA) has released a colored image of NGC 2359, which is an emission nebula in the constellation Canis Major. It is also known as Thor's Helmet. It has been given the name due to gas arches stemming out of the central bulge.

The image released by the space agency is a combination of two pictures that were captured by the EPIC cameras of ESA XMM-Newton space observatory and the Cerro Tololo Inter-American Observatory's Stars and Shadows Remote Observatory South. The bright color of the nebula could help the scientists to understand its composition.

Scientists in Bay Area are still confused about what killed an adult sperm whale after they performed a necropsy on the animal that was found dead at Sharp Park Beach.

The sperm whale about 49-foot-long was examined by a number of marine biologists, veterinarians, scientists and student volunteers. They were trying to figure out what killed the giant animal and how it got to the location near Mori Point.

The researchers said that it could take about a full day to determine the cause of death of the sperm whale. They concluded that the adult sperm whale was a male and it had exhibited signs of trauma.

Japan's maglev train has broken its own speed record. Operator JR Central said that the fastest passenger train in the world reached 375 miles per hour in a test run on Tuesday. In 2003, it had set a record of 361 mph.

The train has traveled for just over a mile at a speed of exceeding 373 mph. The Maglev Test Line, near Mount Fuji about 50 miles west of Tokyo, is in a development phase. This technology will be used on a future 250-mile link that will reduce the travel time between Tokyo and Osaka to just over an hour. Currently, it takes minimum around three hours by bullet train.

According to a study, microbeads that are found in personal care products are entering the Atlantic Ocean after coming from the state's sewage treatment plants. This could prove harmful for sea life. The study has been released by the state attorney general in favor of his push for a ban on the tiny plastic particles throughout the state.

According to New York's attorney general, it has been observed in some preliminary tests that microbeads are passing through several sewage treatment plants of the state and are entering waterways.

Federal officials are reviewing Comcast's $45 billion merger with Time Warner Cable. The cable giant is fighting an uphill battle to get approval for the merger as it is facing resistance from the regulators. The Justice Department has some serious questions regarding the merger.

People familiar with the matter said that Comcast might ultimately walk away if concessions needed to win approval are too strict.

Comcast is the nation's largest cable company and largest broadband provider while Time Warner Cable is the second-largest company and the third-largest broadband internet provider.

As per Hasbro, new part of Transformers could be in theatres in around two years. The idea is to have a deep story for Transformers 5, with multiple sequels and spinoffs.

Hasbro's chief executive officer Brian Goldner said, "Our plan with the studio and filmmakers you may have heard some writers being hired and Transformers Age Of Extinction we have in fact brought in Akiva Goldsman to lead a group of writers to really create a strategic plan around Transformers".
