Melbourne, Jan 12 : A recent research has identified cancer as an environmental disease that is caused mainly by avoidable lifestyle factors.

The new evidence from the recent World Cancer Congress suggests that cancer is more often caused by the environment a person lives in than innate biology, News. com. au reported.

Cancer Council Queensland spokeswoman Katie Clift said that the key to reducing cancer incidence lies in prevention, for example, about 47,000 breast cancer deaths worldwide could be avoided every year if physical inactivity was eliminated as a risk factor.

London, Jan 12 : 17-time Grand Slam champion Roger Federer beat big-hitting Canadian Milos Raonic to secure his 1,000th career win as he bagged the Brisbane International title.

Washington, Jan 12 : Nearly a month after Microsoft's Skype unveiled a program for real-time translation of speech, Google is set to release an updated version of its Google Translate app for Android.

The update will facilitate automatic recognition of speech in popular languages and will change it into text, reported The Verge.

Google had earlier said in July 2013 that the upcoming version of its translation app would be able to deliver delay-free, "near perfect" translations, something that few apps can offer currently.
