In an interview with an Ohio television station, a man accused of plotting an attack at the United States Capitol said that he wanted to shoot the President of the United States Barack Obama. According to the man, Christopher Lee Cornell, if he had not been arrested, he would have gone to Washington to shoot the President.

Cornell was called into WXIX-TV from a Kentucky jail. The man has confessed that he is a supporter of the Islamic State terror group. The man also said that he had planned to kill some government officials as part of revenge for United States strikes on ISIS.

The World Health Organization (WHO) has released a report to show that listening to loud music causes damaging effects to ears. The report has warned that more than a billion teens and young adults are at risk of losing their hearing ability because of listening to too loud music or noise not only from headphones but also from bars, nightclubs and concerts.

"In the past, we limited ourselves because we weren't around our cell phones 24/7. We didn't have them, you would use landlines. You wouldn't go places and listen to your iPod", said Dr. Amber Lim Coronado with UR Medicine.

A series of studies conducted by researchers from the New York University revealed that common chemicals that affect human hormones can cost more than €150bn ($165.4bn; £108.5bn) a year in damage to human health in Europe.

A team led by New York University presented their data at the annual meeting of the Endocrinology Society.

A new report from development organization WaterAid has revealed that more than 800,000 women die every year due to lack of clean water and safe toilets.

According to the report, the diseases spread through dirty water and poor sanitation are the fifth biggest killer of women worldwide after heart disease, stroke, lower respiratory infections and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.

The report claims that dirty water kills more than AIDS and breast cancer. The researchers came to this conclusion by analyzing data from the Seattle-based Institute of Health Metrics research center.

A study published in the Journal of Health and Social Behaviour unveiled that divorce chance increases in married couples if wife gets ill in comparison to those where wife remains healthy. Researchers from the Iowa State University and Purdue are not aware who initiates for divorce.

Wife sickness can lead to divorce, but husband's illness does not matter much and also, it does not have any effect on chances of divorce. The study found that a married couple has 6% more chance of getting a divorce if wife is sick.
