Washington, July 30 : Penelope Cruz and her husband Javier Bardem have criticized Israel's incursion into Gaza and have described their military action as "genocide".

According to the Hollywood Reporter, the 40-year-old Spanish actress, her husband and Pedro Almodovar demanded a cease-fire by the Israeli military, and recommended that they "lift the blockade, which the Gaza Strip has suffered for more than a decade".

London, July 30 : The Chinese authorities have reportedly launched an anti-monopoly investigation into US-based technology giant Microsoft.

After visiting some of Microsoft's local offices, the China's State Administration for Industry and Commerce said that it will probe allegations of monopoly actions undertaken by the company, reported the BBC.

The company responded by saying that it is ready to address any concerns that the Chinese government may have.

It has not been accused of any wrongdoing yet.

Washington, July 30 : Microsoft is planning to launch two new Windows Phone 8.1 devices shortly.

Microsoft devices Chief Stephen Elop revealed the devices in an internal meeting. He described the first phone, codenamed 'Superman', as a 'selfie phone' which sports a 5MP front camera and a 4.7 inch display for capturing high quality self shots.

The second handset is codenamed 'Tesla,' and recently appeared in leaked images. Elop described the Tesla handset as an affordable high-end phone with a PureView camera.
