Benazir’s return to Pakistan will bring political stability: Kasuri

Lahore, Sep 18 (ANI): Pakistan’s Foreign Minister Khurshid Mehmood Kasuri has said that the return of former Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto to Pakistan would bring political stability to the country.

"We would welcome Bhutto on her return to the country," Kasuri told reporters on the sidelines of an exhibition organised at the French Embassy in Islamabad to celebrate the completion of 60 years of Pakistan-France friendship.

Kasuri said the government wanted to take along all parties for a national consensus on key issues.

Sunfeast Open begins in Kolkata

Kolkata, Sept. 18: The seven-day WTA Sunfeast Open tennis tournament has begun, and will see the likes of Wimbledon finalist Marion Bartoli and Russian Daniela Hantuchova.

On Monday, Sania engaged in some match practice, but an announcement was made that she would not participate in the tournament due to a wrist injury.

Washington, Sep 18: Researchers have proposed a new diagnostic criteria which will enable physicians to detect and treat Alzheimer’s Disease (AD) in its earliest stages, when patients are experiencing only mild degrees of cognitive impairment.

The research, which was co-led by Dr. Howard Feldman, head of the Div. of Neurology in the University of British Columbia’s Faculty of Medicine, included investigators from countries like Japan, the U.S. and England.

Smoking causes acne in women

London, Sep 18: Smoking has been linked to a number of health problems ranging from lung diseases to cancer, but a new study has found another undesirable side effect of smoking cigarettes, particularly in women – acne.

Italian researchers from the San Gallicano Dermatological Institute in Rome have found that smoking causes acne in humans, and effects women the most.

Researchers were able to discover a particular type of acne known as NIA (non-inflammatory acne) as common amongst smokers.

During a custody hearing on Sep 17, former minder Tony Barretto claimed that Spears took drugs in front of her two young sons, Sean Preston, two, and one-year-old Jayden James, and even walked around naked in front of them.
