Members of APDM are ‘paper parties’: Pak Information Minister

Karachi, Sep 23 : Pakistan’s Information Minister Muhammad Ali Durrani has accepted that the real opposition in the country is the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), and said that the members of the All Parties Democratic Movement (APDM) are "paper parties."

Durrani said that the APDM has announced its resignation 25 times, let’s see what happens the 26th time.

"The APDM was formed to break the Opposition and the ARD. There are aggressive members and there are political member in the APDM and their differences are showing," he added.

Woman gambler scoops £226k in football bet

London, Sept 23 : A woman, who placed bets on eight soccer matches, has scooped a booty of 226,834.36 pounds in the stake with William Hill on Champions League games.

Kathrin Rotmann placed the 1,000 pounds roll-up bet on matches played by Arsenal, Manchester United, Rangers, Slavia Prague, Barcelona, Roma, Fenerbahce and PSV.

All the eight teams won the matches with combined odds of 226-1.

However, this is not the first time the German born has won soccer bets.

Chennai, Sep 23 : Dravid Munnettra Kazhagam (DMK) activists lead by State Information Minister Paruthi Ellamvazhuthi today ransacked Chennai office of the Bharatiya Janata Party, while protesting against the remarks made by Vishva Hindu Parishad leader Ramvilas Vedanti to behead their leader M Karunanidhi over his remarks on Lord Rama.

“Vedanti should withdraw his words against our leader, and the Central Government should take action on this,” Ellamvazhuthi said.
