Washington, September 18: Hollywood hunk George Clooney has revealed that time and again his fans make him realise that his good looks will not last forever.

Clooney revealed that each time he encounters a fan, he feels as if he were not present there.

"All those things are going to disappear one day and I know that every time I get confronted by fans. They'll talk about me as if I am not there. Like how much older I look in person or have all this grey hair," he said.

Imran Khan demands impartial caretaker govt in Pakistan

Lahore, Sep 18: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief and former cricketer Imran Khan has underlined the need for the setting up of a neutral caretaker government in the country before the general elections.

"The forthcoming general elections cannot be held in the presence of President Pervez Musharraf," Khan said.
Khan opined that the representatives of the All Parties Democratic Movement (APDM) would resign from the national and provincial assemblies if the sitting assemblies elect Musharraf.

Washington, Sept 18: A new study has revealed that performing both aerobics and resistance exercise contributes to blood sugar control in people with type 2 diabetes.

A training session was conducted to determine the effect of aerobic and resistance exercise and included 251 adults, between ages 39 and 70, who were not exercising regularly and had type 2 diabetes.

Women beat men when it comes to hand washing in public restrooms

Washington, Sept 18: A new survey has revealed that most men don’t wash their hands at public restrooms while most women do.
 
The American Society for Microbiology (ASM) and The Soap and Detergent Association (SDA) conducted an observational study that revealed that slightly over three-quarters of men and women (77percent) washed their hands in public restrooms. The result was a six percent decline from a similar study conducted in 2005.
 

Alternate-Day Fasting diet may be the best fat buster

Washington, Sept 18: If you gorge on food on day, and then eat half as much or fast the next day may, it may help you lose those extra pounds, for a new study has found that doing so shrinks fat cells and boosts mechanisms that break down fats.

The study was conducted by Krista Varady and colleagues, at the University of California.

As a part of the research, the team studied the effects of alternate-day fasting on 24 male mice for four weeks to assess the effects of Alternate-Day Fasting (ADF).
