Sydney, April 7 : Model-turned-actress Rachael Taylor opened up during a high-profile lunch here about her experience with domestic violence.

She spoke about the issue at the Autumn Racing Ladies Lunch at the David Jones and Crown Resorts here.

The actress stunned a room-full of Australia's most powerful women and offered to chat and help any of the 250 women in the room who are struggling through the abuse, reports www. femalefirst. co. uk.

New Delhi, April 7 : Singapore Airlines Monday said it will deploy Airbus A380 - the world's largest passenger aircraft - on select routes in India from May.

"A380 superjumbo will operate daily to both Mumbai and New Delhi with effect from May 30, 2014, taking over from two daily flights that currently serve each city using smaller Boeing 777s," the airline said in a statement.

"Another daily flight will continue to be operated with B777s. In total, 14 flights will serve each city per week."

The decision comes after the government allowed Airbus A380 to fly into the country in January.

State-run miner Coal India Ltd's (CIL's) tender for coal import contract, which was floated at the start of this year, has received a single bid from MMTC.

Requesting anonymity, an official from the miner said the single bid received from MMTC for importing coal from foreign markets to meet supply agreements with power plants was under evaluation.

However, the official declined to comment on the proposed quantity of coal imports for the current financial year. The miner aims to finalise the bid by next month.

Odisha's Naveen Patnaik-led government has no objection to the allocation of the Khandadhar iron ore mines to South Korea's steel producer Posco, a senior official of the state government said.

The Khandadhar iron ore mines in Sundargarh to Posco-India in 2009 for its proposed 8-million-tonne steel plant in Jagatsinghpur district of the state. But, the state's High Court later annulled the allocation, forcing the Odisha government to approach the Supreme Court.
