Malware is not only used by cyber criminal; even the U. S. government agencies like FBI are resorting to use malware when other tactics fail, fresh media reports revealed.

The Washington Post has reported that the FBI used malware to track a skilled criminal known as "Mo" who was really good at covering his online tracks.

Using differed forms of Internet communications, "Mo" had made a number of bomb threats at airports and universities across the U. S. last year. While the threats kept causing disruption to police, he successfully kept out of reach the police.

New Delhi, Dec 9 : State miner Coal India (CIL) has signed 157 fuel supply agreements (FSAs) so far for a generation capacity of 71,145 MW, the coal ministry said Monday.

Minister of State for Coal Pratik Prakashbapu Patil informed parliament in a written reply that these are "in addition to FSAs signed in respect of power plants commissioned before 31st March, 2009," a ministry statement here said.

"Government has recently approved coal supplies to thermal power plants (TPPs) which are commissioned/to be commissioned by 31st March, 2015," it added.

Thirteen defendants who had been slapped with charges of launching distributed denial of service (DDoS) attacks at PayPal in 2010 pleaded guilty in a California federal court, the U. S. Attorney's Office in San Francisco confirmed recently.

The defenders had attacked PayPal using DDoS method, which is also known as the Low Orbit Ion Cannon, as part of "Operation Payback" to teach PayPal a lesson for the subsidiary eBay's refusal to process payments for whistleblower site WikiLeaks.

Patna, Dec 9 : Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Monday said the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) should be prepared for a shock in the 2014 general elections adding that, the response to the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) in Delhi shows that people want a third alternative.

"It does not matter what the BJP says, what matters is what the results show. They are going to get a shock in the 2014 elections. And now that there is need for fresh elections as none of the parties got a clear majority in Delhi, the results will break the myth of the BJP," Kumar said.
