Technology giant, Apple has announced a new music streaming service called iTunes Radio as rivals prepare their own services for the customers.

Apple has been holding discussions with a host of music companies for its new streaming music service to offer their content to the customers through the medium. The new music service, which was launched at Apple's annual developers' conference in San Francisco, features contents from various artists and labels.

Taiwanese smartphone maker, HTC is expected to launch its much anticipated HTC Butterfly S in its home market soon.

The company has sent out sent out invitations for a lunch event and many believe that it will use the event not only to launch HTC Butterfly S but also showcase Desire 600. The Desire 600was first showcased in May but the lunch event will see its official unveiling in the country. Taiwanese telecom operator Chunghwa Telecom will showcase the two new smartphones at the event.

Fastrack Communications, the makers of Lemon Mobiles, has said that it is aiming to double its turnover this financial year.

The company recorded a turnover of Rs. 200 crore during the previous year and it is targeting to achieve a turnover of Rs. 500 crore this financial year. The company will aim at selling five lakh devices a month by September-October and about 20 per cent of that are expected to be smartphones.

H&R Block, which is the largest tax preparer in the US, has said that it has recorded lower than expected fourth-quarter profit due to changes in the tax laws and filing delays.

The Indian Coast Guard on Wednesday saved 22 lives by transporting the crew members of a skinning cargo vessel to a safe place.

All the 22 crew members were aboard Maldivian bulk carrier Asian Express, which suffered a technical glitch in engine system and started sinking nearly 60 nautical miles northwest off Minicoy Island of Lakshadweep.

Indian Coast Guard DIG T. K. S. Chandran also revealed that of the 22 crew members, eighteen were Maldivians and four were Indians.

TVS Automobile Solutions Ltd (TVS ASL), a subsidiary of TVS & Sons, has signed a joint venture (JV) with US-based Myers Tires Supply International Inc. to promote each other's products in various Asian markets.

The two companies said in a statement that the JV would look to make a mark for their business in India as well as other markets of Asia. To begin with, however, the JV will focus on after-sales tyre repair & service business in India only.
