According to the latest figures released, the manufacturing output in the United States fell unexpectedly during the month of May, to its lowest level in four years.

Moscow, June 4 : President Vladimir Putin said Tuesday he would sign a law banning adoption of Russian children by foreign same-sex couples if parliament passed such a legislation.

"So far, I have no such bill, I have not seen this. But if such legislation is adopted by the country’s parliament, I will sign it,” Putin said at the Russia-EU summit which opened Tuesday in the Urals city of Yekaterinburg.

London, June 4 : British retail sales increased by 3.4 percent in May thanks to the promotion strategy the retailers took, said a research report jointly released by British Retail Consortium (BRC) and the accounting firm KPMG Tuesday.

Total retail sales in Britain were up 3.4 percent in May as compared with the same period of last year, with the sales value increased by 1.8 percent year on year, reported Xinhua.
