AITA picks second-string team for India-South Korea Davis Cup tie

/AITA-LogoNew Delhi, Jan 11 : The All India Tennis Association (AITA) picked a second-string squad on Friday for India''s Davis Cup tie against South Korea, snubbing the eight revolting players who refused to make themselves available.

The tie will be held here on February 1-3.

The squad selected includes only one senior player in Leander Paes.

V M Ranjit (ranked 517), Vijayant Malik (ranked 542) and Purav Raja (ranked 155 in doubles) are the other members.

S. P. Misra will be the non-playing captain while Zeeshan Ali will be the coach.

One in five women have been victims of sexual assault in UK

s/sexual-assault_London, Jan 11 : One in five women has been a victim of sexual assault since the age of 16, with almost half a million adult females in England and Wales are attacked every year, a study has revealed.

While most of the 400,000 female victims were subject to unwanted touching and indecent exposure, one in every 200 women was a victim of rape or another serious sexual assault.

According to the Crime Survey for England and Wales, there are a total of 473,000 victims of sex offences every year, for which 60,000 to 95,000 are victims of rape, the Daily Mail reports.
