Intel has announced the launch of its third generation of Core microprocessors called, Ivy Bridge at an event in San Francisco on Monday.

The Ivy Bridge Core microprocessors, which works on circuit that have a width of just 22 nanometres, will allow the company to fight off competition from Arm and consolidate its business in the PC market due to the advanced features of the chip.

Adobe, the maker of the widely used Flash player, has announced the launch of its new Creative Suite 6, a software package created for designers and Web developers.

The company is offering the new Creative Suite 6 on a monthly subscription basis as part of its Creative Cloud offering instead of a usual box packing. The monthly subscription for the new suit starts at $50 for users who agree to buy access to the suit for a year.

A woman in Edinburgh has said that she is planning to sue Poly Implant Prothese (PIP), the producer of faulty breast implants, as she believed that she got cancer after one of her PIP breast implants burst.

She suffers from anaplastic large cell lymphoma, which is a rare and aggressive form of cancer. Susan Grieve, 40, who is a mother of two children, believes her illness was caused by her implants. PIP was shut down in 2010 following an order from the French authorities.

A health warning has been issued after twelve people were admitted to Belford Hospital in Fort William after they consumed what they believed were valium tablets.

Police and health chiefs issued the warning after it was found that 13 people suffered extreme reactions after they consumed the un-prescribed tablets. A number of those admitted to the Belford Hospital, are currently being kept under medical observation.

Business tycoon, Adi Godrej, who joined as the new president of the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) on 18 April, has said that the government should work towards improving business sentiment in the country.

He said that the country had faced a difficult economic period during 2008 but at that time all sides were optimistic of a fast recovery. Godrej said that he believes that even the government was more positive at that for the economic prospects of the country.
