According to the reports, the Ritz-Carlton chain announced on Friday that it is switching to "green" water bottles that break down when composted, at its U. S. and Caribbean hotels.

USA Today has reported that in a press release, the chain, owned by Marriott, said the new bottles are entirely made from plant materials and can either be composted or recycled.

The report also said that their manufacture also uses less fossil fuel than manufacture of conventional plastic bottles.
