Lahm rules out Germany return

Philipp-LahmJohannesburg, Aug 08 : Bayern Munich captain Philipp Lahm has reportedly ruled out any return to the Germany national team, while admitting that he would 'never say never'.

Lahm said that it is like life, adding that one should never say never as something could always crop up. But truthfully, he added that he is ruling out any comeback from retirement.

Lahm ended h is international career just five days after he lead his country to the World Cup glory in Brazil, Sport24 reported.

The 30-year-old Bayern Munich fullback had played 113 games for Germany and him withdrawing from the international stage took many by surprise.

Wenger finally rules out Khedira's signing from Real

Arsene-WengerLondon, Aug 08 : After weeks of intense speculations, Arsenal football team manager Arsene Wenger has finally ruled signing German midfielder Sami Khedira from Real Madrid .

Wenger has twice been questioned about his interest in Khedira during the last month or so, amid talks that Arsenal was close to signing the German in a 24 million-pound deal.

The Frenchman has twice refused to rule out a deal, giving modest answers when being questioned about Khedira, but has now dismissed the speculations saying that Arsenal has never been close to signing the powerful midfielder, Metro. co. uk reported.

The Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency has created a breakthrough technology for national security by developing a chip with over 5 billion transistors and more than 250 million "synapses" that mimic the connections between neurons in the brain, which requires only a fraction of electricity needed by other chips, the Washington Times reported.

9 out of 10 websites found vulnerable to hackersWashington, Aug 8 - A new research shows that more than 90 percent of the websites are vulnerable to hackers, including some of the biggest brands.

Another report from Cisco Systems reveals that media and publishing sites are at the biggest risk of spreading malware and viruses through infected advertising networks.

The report said that merely 8.3 percent websites are protected from hackers, and the remaining websites failed to match up to the security standards.

Sun Pharma-Ranbaxy deal comes under CCI scanner

Sun Pharma RanbaxyNew Delhi: Putting the multi-billion dollar Sun Pharma-Ranbaxy deal under close scrutiny, fair trade watchdog CCI has sought more information from them to ascertain whether the deal would skew fair competition in pharma sector.

Competition Commission of India (CCI) would take a final view on the deal after receiving details from them and could seek more information if it is not satisfied with the responses.

"We have sought more information from the two companies. We will take a final view after getting the required information," a senior CCI official told PTI.

Domestic car sales rise 5.04%, bikes up 6.17% in July

Domestic car salesNew Delhi: Domestic passenger car sales grew 5.04 percent to 1,37,873 units in July this year as compared to 1,31,257 units in the same month of 2013.

According to the data released by Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM), motorcycle sales during last month grew 6.17 percent to 8,59,290 units from 8,09,386 units in the same month previous year.

Total two-wheeler sales in July 2014 grew 13.73 percent to 12,87,462 units from 11,32,066 units in the same period of previous year.
