Sushma Swaraj to arrive in Kathmandu on Friday for joint commission talks

Sushma-SwarajKathmandu, July 25 : Indian External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj will arrive here on Friday afternoon on a three-day official visit to Nepal.

She is visiting Nepal on the invitation Foreign Minister Mahendra Bahadur Pandey.

Swaraj will head the Indian side in the Nepal-India Joint Commission Meeting on Saturday.

Twenty-seven officers each from Nepal and India would participate in the commission's meeting.

Indian boy breaks limbo record by skating under '39 cars'

Gagan-SatishWashington, July 25 : 6-year-old Gagan Satish from Bangalore, India, broke limbo record when he roller-skated under 39 cars in a row in just 29 seconds.

Satish, who covered around 70 metres during the act while his face was just inches away from the ground, said that he loved to skate and had been doing it since he was three, the Daily Star reported.

His next goal was to skate under 100 cars, and eventually go to for the Olympics, added the kid, who broke the previous record of 48.21 metres set in 2012 by Shreeya Deshpande from Kolhapur, who was just 5 at the time.

PNB Q1 net rises 10% to Rs 1,405 crore

Punjab National BankNew Delhi: State-owned Punjab National Bank (PNB) on Friday reported 10 percent growth in net profit to Rs 1,405.12 crore for the April-June quarter of 2014-15.

In the year-ago period, the bank had reported a net profit of Rs 1,275.32 crore, PNB said in a regulatory filing to the stock exchanges.

The bank's total income increased to Rs 12,825.13 crore during the first quarter ended June 30 from Rs 11,746.59 crore in the same period last year.
