Chandigarh, Dec 29 : The main gates of Chandigarh's two main hospitals will be shut when Prime Minister Manmohan Singh reaches here Monday to attend an event in neighbouring Punjab's Mohali district.

The Chandigarh Police have ordered the closure of the main gates of the Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER) and the Government Multi-Specialty Hospital (GMSH) at Sector 16 during the visit.

Ranchi, Dec 29 : BJP's prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi Sunday accused the central government of "escaping from its responsibility in dealing with corruption and price hike".

Addressing a rally at Prabhat Tara ground here, Modi said: "The government in Delhi is escaping from its responsibility on price hike, corruption and other issues. Like previous eras, the central government believes in akashvani. The central government comes out with akashvani on price hike, corruption, but it has no plans to fight them."

New Delhi, Dec. 28 : Delhi Police Commissioner B. S Bassi after a meeting with Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Saturday said that Kejriwal's priority was the safety of women in Delhi.

"The CM has shared his vision with me and we have the same vision that women should feel safe in Delhi which is the priority. Other issues will be discussed later," said Bassi.

"I have given some details and have had a discussed. We want to give a clean Delhi to people," he said.
