"The pressure on the aorta (largest artery in the human body) and on the heart decreased after consuming watermelon extract," said Arturo Figueroa, an associate professor at Florida State University.

The study focused on 13 middle-aged, obese men and women who also suffered from high blood pressure.

Mumbai, April 4 : Actress Sonakshi Sinha has unveiled the latest edition of Women's Health magazine, displaying her slender figure on its cover. The actress admits achieving the slim and trim look wasn't easy for somebody like her who hates the gym.

The actress, whose weight has been the point of concern for many in showbiz, is happy with her makeover.

"It was not easy at all for somebody like me. I am the kind of person who hates the gym. I am allergic to the gym. I want to run away from it," Sonakshi said Thursday at the unveiling event here.

Washington, April 4 : Indian-American Neel Kashkari is seeking to emulate his one time boss, former Republican President George Bush, as he mounts a long shot bid to challenge California's Democratic governor Jerry Brown.

Ranchi, April 4 : In one of her strongest attacks on BJP star Narendra Modi, Congress president Sonia Gandhi Friday asked people not to elect "a big liar" as the country's next prime minister.

Without taking Modi's name, Gandhi told an election rally in Jharkhand that some opposition leaders were selling dreams, as if "they will change everything in one day with a magic wand".

"Will the country chose a prime minister a person who will be a big liar?" she said at Ramgarh in Hazaribagh district.

Indian can deal with crony capitalism by introducing transparency and reducing discretionary power, new CII President Ajay Shriram suggested.

Expressing his views about crony capitalism in a just published interview, Mr. Shriram admitted that India too, like other countries, has 'black sheeps'.

Speaking about the issue, he said, "We have to accept that there are humans all over the world. We have had black sheeps. It's not only in India; it's in America, in Europe, every country. We should have a balanced approach and look at what to do with rules and regulations."

Mumbai, April 4 : BJP's prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi Friday attacked Congress president Sonia Gandhi over the issue of women's safety in the country.

Raking up the Dec 16 gang rape in Delhi, Modi said the Congress has done nothing to ensure women's safety and Sonia Gandhi, despite being a women, is misleading other women.

"You have announced Rs. 1,000 crore as the Nirbhaya fund and said that this money will be used for the daughters of this country. Despite announcing the fund, you did not spend even a single rupee from it," Modi said at a rally in Maharashtra's Chandrapur district.
