New Delhi: State-owned Coal India (CIL) is yet to enter into fuel supply pacts with 12 power units as issues like change in ownership and extension of coal supplies are still being examined by the government.

"Out of this 78,000 MW capacity as on date CIL has signed 160 FSAs (Fuel Supply Agreements) for a capacity of 73,075 MW. "In the remaining 12 cases, some issues related to change of ownership, extension of coal supplies, beyond the period admissible under Tapering Linkage Policy, etc, are involved," said the minutes of meeting dated July 24 of Standing Linkage Committee on Power.

Dubai: Royal Jordanian Airlines has decided to stop all its services to Mumbai and Delhi as part of its restructuring plan.

RJ will stop operating to Mumbai on September 10 and to Delhi on October 31, this year. The airline is also shutting down its Lagos route with effect from October 10.

With the closure of the three destinations, the RJ routes will count 51.

RJ Chairman of the Board/President and CEO Nasser Lozi said that the decision is part of a synchronised plan to turn around the airline covering operations and financial structure.

London, July 27 - Jamaican sprint superstar Usain Bolt has said that he would run in the heats of the 4x100 metre relay at the Commonwealth Games going on at Glasgow.

Bolt is yet to run competitively this season and has never before competed in Commonwealth Games, but the sprint legend ended weeks of doubt about his plans after flying into host city Glasgow on Saturday.

Bolt said that he would be running in the heats, adding that he needs the runs really and he needs to get it going, The BBC reported.

The relay heats would get under way at Hampden Park on Friday, August 1.

Glasgow: Star Indian boxer Vijender Singh and Manoj Kumar on Saturday made resounding start to their campaigns at the Commonwealth Games, winning their respective bouts with identical 3-0 scorelines, here.

Vijender punched his way to the pre-quarterfinals with a unanimous verdict over Andrew Kometa of Kiribati in the 75kg bout while Manoj beat Mokhachane Moshoshoe of Lesotho with the same margin in the 64kg category. Vijender was fast in his movement in his first bout of the Games and played to a plan, emerging victorious without taking much risk.

New Delhi: India on Saturday said it will take back all its citizens, detained onboard a boat seized by Australia, but a decision on other nationals will be taken as per international law and convention after ascertaining their identity.

A Home Ministry spokesperson said as per current policy, India will take back its own nationals, detained onboard a boat seized by the Australian authorities in the last week of June this year, provided the consular access clearly determines their origin.
