A new research has revealed that people suffering from type-2 diabetes are more prone to 24 types of cancer.

Kari Hemminki of DKFZ joined hands with fellow workers in Sweden and the US to conduct the key research ever on cancer risks of people having type 2 diabetes.

The research comprised 125,126 Swedish people who had been hospitalized because of troubles linked with type 2 diabetes.

The researchers compared the cancer incidence in these sufferers with that of the general population in Sweden.
